Original high quality print on water color paper of “The Corner”, a 1953 water color and dry brush by Andrew
Wyeth. The subject matter is the remains of Mother Archie’s Church at the corner of Ring and Bullock Roads in Chadds Ford, PA. The original painting is owned by the Wilmington Society of Fine Art in Delaware.
This print on high quality water color paper was published by the Art in America in 1962 as one of twelve different images reproduced for the “Four Seasons Portfolio”. We are told this was the only authorized print publication of this work, but the number of prints published is unknown.
This print is in the original frame as sold by the Wiley Gallery of Hartford CT in 1962-1963. Re-matting and restoration would only enhance the value of this hard to find, high quality Wyeth print.
